Changes to GMLive

After GMLive’s initial success and winning the most exciting launch of 2009 (from GMB) wore off, our peak listener count has started to taper off, telling us that we either need to reschedule our show to get more listeners, or we are just not interesting enough to spend time on. After the broadcast on the 23rd went down in flames, We have decided to make some changes. Here are just a few:

  • We got a New Logo for anyone that did not already know
  • When we post the archives, we will post each discussion topic, along with the time it was discussed in the show, so that users can easily find topics that interest to them, while filtering out what they are not interested in.
  • We have come up with a new way of reviewing games. All hosts must play the games and be able to carry on a good conversation about them, so we can hopefully eliminate those “long pauses”
  • Segments of the show will get a set amount of time alloted to them, and short pauses will be added
  • Short and informative segments are being made for commercial breaks, or to be played in between topics to introduce users to the hosts (if they came in late) and how to call in.
  • The site is in the process of being reworked, however it may not be ready for a few more weeks, due to technical issues.
